A newborn baby girl was found dead at a resort in Davao City on Wed, May 13.
Amelia Pawon, who works in the resort, found the baby in a pail inside one of the resort’s restrooms.
The baby was placed inside a plastic and covered with clothes.
Pawon said she noticed a woman, who works as a helper in the resort, enter the restroom. She was carrying with her clothes inside a pail.
The woman went out of the restroom after an hour. She later claimed she had a miscarriage.
Based on police investigation, the baby was nine months old.
The baby’s mother, who is currently being treated in a hospital, may be charged with intentional abortion.
