New Pasig River Ferry terminal opens this week

It seems that the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is determined to for the Pasig River Ferry service to succeed.

The MMDA will open a new passenger terminal, the Sta. Ana station, for the Pasig River ferry service on Friday, June 27.

The MMDA, in coordination with the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC) and other concerned agencies, have completed the repair of the old Sta. Ana station in Manila.

At present, the revived Pasig ferry system has five terminals: Guadalupe, Makati City; Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City; Escolta, PUP Sta. Mesa, and Plaza Mexico in Manila.

The ABS-CBNnews.com report noted: “The Sta. Ana terminal, located at the southeast bank of Pasig River, will benefit passengers going to and from Manila, particularly Paco, Pandacan, and San Andres.”

The ferry service operates from 6am to 6pm daily.
