No, they’re not really “fired.”
“The National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) has ordered the relief of several policemen who did not perform their tasks during the holidays last year,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
NCRPO Regional Director Chief Superintendent Carmelo Valmoria pointed out that “most of the policemen allegedly abandoned their assigned posts in malls and transport terminals last December.”
The said cops were asked to explain why they weren’t able to perform their duties during the holidays, but they couldn’t justify abandoning their posts,
He added that they have already asked for an explanation on why these cops were not able to perform their duty during the holidays. So, they will be sent to Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig for retraining.
