National Artist for Sculpture Napoleon Veloso Abueva, 84, suffered a massive stroke on May 8. He was rushed to the National Kidney Transplant Institute where he was kept at the ICU until May 12.
He is responding well to medication although he is still asleep, according to his daughter Amihan, as posted on UP professor Ruben David Defeo’s Facebook page.
The family is requesting for musicians to come and visit the Father of Modern Philippine Sculpture to help him recover.
