Upon further investigations, however, authorities discovered that the helper was actually staying with her boyfriend and claiming that she was the mother of the child.

“When she arrived on the 19th, she told her boyfriend that the baby was their daughter…” said Inspector Esem Galizaw of the Cauayan City police in a report by ABS-CBN News.

In a report by Philstar, local government officials said they got suspicious after seeing the helper’s boyfriend buy diapers from a local store. They tipped the police after hearing about the kidnapping incident on TV.

The couple is planning to file charges against their former nanny and her boyfriend.
