She’s tough on her opponents, but (understandably) she’s not so tough when it comes to her brother’s current woes.

“Senator Nancy Binay  broke  down  on Monday, January 26,  after  the  Senate  Blue Ribbon  committee  ordered the detention of  her brother, Makati City Mayor Junjun Binay along with other Makati officials in connection with the allegedly overpriced Makati City Hall Building II,” reports Maila Ager on Inquirer.net.

The report noted: “While  being interviewed by reporters at the Senate session  hall, the  senator  turned emotional when  she  mentioned  Junjun’s four children.”

The senator reportedly said in Filipino, “I’ll focus on my brother’s kids for now because, as you know, they don’t have a mother anymore and now they’ll lose their father, too.”

In case you didn’t know, the Makati mayor is a widower.
