It’s already tagged as the world’s worst airport and this just makes things even crazier.
“On Monday afternoon, Jan 13, tension ran high at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 Monday afternoon when an unidentified male caller threatened that a bomb would explode at the airport,” reports Rudy Santos in The Philippine Star.
The report revealed that it was NAIA terminal manager Dante Basanta’s staff, Christie Vizcara, who received the call at around 4:45pm. According to her, the male caller had said in Filipino, “Is this NAIA? A bomb will explode within 24 hours.”
Bomb-sniffing dogs were immediately tasked to search for explosives, but they didn’t find any. In any case, the deadline given by the caller has come and gone and no blast has happened at NAIA 1.
Hopefully, the twisted caller gets tracked down.
