“Muntinlupa Vice Mayor Artemio Simundac is under fire after a photo of a rescue vehicle bearing his name was spotted being used for shopping at a high-end supermarket in the city,” reports Dennis Datu on ABS-CBNnews.com.

The photo was contributed by a concerned citizen to Top Gear Philippines, who asked to remain anonymous. The contributor had captioned the photo with these words: “Taken at S&R Muntinlupa on December 24.”

The concerned citizen said it was not possible for the occupants of the vehicle to be buying relief goods or stuff for the city’s constituents at S&R, which is known for offering imported goods.

The report noted: “Tess Navarro, chief of Muntinlupa City Hall Public Information Office, said Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi already learned of the incident and has asked Simundac to explain.”

Simundac reportedly said that he “does not know how the vehicle was used for shopping.”
