Here’s yet another example of why moms are awesome.

Pepshe Aranas shared a now-viral photo on Friday of her breastfeeding her two-month-old daughter during her graduation rites at the Liceo de Cagayan University in Cagayan de Oro.

“Breastfeeding, but I’ll graduate. It’s a struggle but I’ll get through it,” she wrote on her Facebook post in a mix of English and Cebuano.

The photo shows her breastfeeding her daughter Olivia Cheska Saa while wearing a toga.

“That moment when you’re embarrassed to stand because people will look at you, but no choice, I need to breastfeed my baby and I don’t really care what other people think,” she said in the post.

“What’s important is I’m not doing anything wrong and I’m going to graduate.”

Aranas told Coconuts Manila through a Facebook message that the photo was taken on her graduation day where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in hotel and restaurant management.

The 22-year-old shared that she posted the photo to show people that having a child is not a burden to her studies.

“Even if you’re just studying, you can still graduate. Having a child is not in any way a hindrance when studying. You can still reach your dreams in life,” she told Coconuts in Filipino.

The Facebook post had over 58,000 likes, 10,000 comments, and 19,000 shares as of this article’s posting. Netizens applauded Aranas for her dedication as a mom and a student. They also congratulated her for the accomplishment.

Jo-ann Esmaña Fernandez wrote in Filipino: “Congrats because even after having a child, you didn’t stop studying. You’re a role model for women.”
