MRT spokesman’s Twitter account hacked?

This would probably fill many hearts with inappropriate glee.

“The Twitter account of the Metro Rail Transit spokesman Atty. Hernando Cabrera was apparently hacked with a supposed glitch pulling tweets from the wildly popular mobile app Dumb Ways to Die,” reports Philstar.com.

The report noted that “separate tweets showing the animated deaths of two of the game’s characters were posted Monday on Cabrera’s official account @attycabs.”

Ironically, as the report pointed out, “the Dumb Ways to die game app arose in 2012 as a public service campaign on train safety by Melbourne-based franchise operator Metro Trains.”

When some Twitter users inquired about the Dumb Ways to Die posts, Cabrera said he didn’t even know what it’s about. Cabrera then tweeted: “Something wrong with my account, parang naglaro ng game on its own.”
