MRT-3 limits service between Shaw and Taft stations after passenger jumped on tracks

The Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT-3) station said online that it implemented a provisional service between its Shaw and Taft stations, or limited train rides, after a passenger jumped onto the train tracks this morning.

An unidentified woman leaped onto the tracks on the southbound side of the Quezon Avenue station at 11:57am today, authorities said in a statement.

Affected passengers have been evacuated and the station supervisor is now investigating the incident, they added.

The passenger has been brought to a nearby hospital, although authorities did not disclose the woman’s condition.

The MRT-3 said that it was quickly working to bring back full operations as soon as possible.
