Pro-Leni Robredo mountaineers showcased their support for the vice president and her running mate, Senator Kiko Pangilinan in the best way they knew how — on their ascent to the Everest Base Camp.
The Mountaineers for Leni and Kiko page posted photos of their member, Jeno Panganiban and his team as they held up a poster of the Robredo-Pangilinan ticket, as well as another sign that read “Mountaineers for Leni.”
“#KaCampPink mountaineer Jeno Panganiban and his group demonstrated their support for VP Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan in their climb to the foot of the world’s highest mountain,” Mountaineers for Leni and Kiko wrote.
The page also shared that Jeno and his group have mounted #PinkClimbs, referring to mountain treks that aim to advocate support for the Robredo ticket.
“Their climb to the Everest Base Camp (EBC) represents their lofty aspirations for our country — an honest government that will uplift everyone’s lives.”
Mount Everest is the world’s highest mountain at 8,848.86 meters as of 2020. The Everest Base Camp in Nepal sits at an altitude of 5,364 meters.
