The manager of the Bank of the Philippine Islands branch on Taft Avenue was shot and killed by gunmen on motorcycles near the National Bureau of Investigation headquarters in Manila on Thursday morning.
Rosemarie Gatan was shot at around 9:00 Thursday morning, the Manila Police District Tactical Operations Center said in an Inquirer report. Despite being shot, she was able to drive around 200 meters before hitting a post in front of the NBI office.
Gatan was brought to the Manila Medical Center. The Philippine Star later reported that she died in the hospital.
An investigation of the incident is underway.
