Motorcycle allegedly used in NAIA murder recovered in Taguig

With so many motorcycles being used for crimes, it’s a wonder why the police hasn’t suggested banning them…yet.

“The motorcycle which police believe was used by the suspects in the ambush of a town mayor and three others at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on Dec 20 has been recovered by authorities in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

Zamboanga del Sur’s Labangan Mayor Ukol Talumpa, his wife and nephew, and an 18-month-old boy died in the Dec 20 shooting incident.

Witnesses claim that the gray Honda motorcycle was abandoned by an unidentified man also on Dec 20. The motorcycle has no license plate, so its engine number is being checked with the Land Transportation Office (LTO). The motorcycle is also being dusted off for fingerprints. Authorities will likewise conduct tests on the drops of blood recovered on the vehicle.

According to the report, “the police are set to file multiple murder and multiple frustrated homicide charges against the suspected gunman, who has identified as ‘Marrox Amlong.'” Amlong is still at large.

The main target of the shooting was Talumpa and investigators are looking at three possible motives for the attack on him — drugs, politics, and a clan war.
