Police are investigating the disappearance Rio April Santos (other reports identify her as Rio April Santos Choi), former partner of Quezon City councilor Hero Bautista, who went on leave last month to undergo drug rehabilitation. Hero is the brother of QC mayor Herbert Bautista.
Hero and Santos have a four-year-old son and their relationship has reportedly been “on and off,” according to a report by The Philippine Star.
Santos was reported missing by her mother, Emiliana, on Sep 14.
“Santos was last seen on the night of Sep 12 at her condominium unit in Barangay Bagumbayan. Emiliana recalled that her daughter told her that she was just going to buy some mineral water for her son.”
The report noted that “Santos’ BMW was also taken out of the parking garage during the time of the incident but the vehicle has yet to be located.”
The report likewise revealed that “Emiliana said somebody told her that her daughter was using drugs but she never personally witnessed it.” Moreover, Emiliana “also denied allegations that her daughter had any links to Maria Aurora Moynihan, the slain sister of actress Maritoni Fernandez.”
Police are set to view CCTV footage at Santos’ condominium to check possible leads in her disappearance.
