The suspect said that his only intention was to rob, but that doesn’t make him any less evil.
A mother and her 10-year-old son were found dead after Rommel Canilao, a son of their laundry woman, broke into a house in Lubao, Pampanga, reports GMA News.
Both victims bore fatal stab wounds, and the mother was found to have been raped.
The suspect, who admitted that he was drunk, said that he was forced to stab the two victims when they woke up while he was inside the house, where he was able to steal jewelry, gadgets, and PHP10,000 in cash.
He was arrested in a follow-up operation, and is now under detention at the Lubao Municipal Jail where he faces charges of robbery, rape with homicide, and murder.
