Boxing champ Manny Pacquiao’s basketball team is like his family. Literally.
“Columbian Autocar Corporation (CAC) president Ginia Roxas-Domingo admitted in an interview that the Kia Motors team toyed with the idea of tapping Mommy Dionisia as its muse when it parades for the first time in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) season opening on Sunday, October 19,” reports Spin.ph.
“Yes, Mommy D was among those we considered. We also looked at Manny’s daughters, Princess and Queen,” Roxas Domingo said.
They ended up picking Pacquiao’s wife and current Sarangani vice Governor Jinkee Pacquiao to be the team’s muse.
Roxas-Doming explained, “We just felt Jinkee fits the bill. Kasi we want to give Manny a ‘First Lady’ when he parades with our team in our maiden opening ceremony.”
The PBA opens its 40th season this week at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.
