This story is just begging to be turned into a movie.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested a model named Mariecar Rosel (a.k.a. Mariecar Go Chua), 26, and her companion, Reginald Van Malate, 27, after a six-hour stakeout near a hotel in Barangay Philam, Quezon City last Thu, Jan 21. The two are now facing car theft charges.
“At that time, Rosel had just stolen the Toyota Fortuner that belonged to Monaliza Rosell-Laurente, 46, the mother of her former schoolmate. In fact, the stolen vehicle was parked at the hotel basement,” reports Erika Sauler in Philippine Daily Inquirer.
The report noted: “In November 2015, Rosel allegedly robbed three other models in separate incidents. Rowelyn Palanca and Catherine Soterio said Rosel fled with their bags as they were changing in a hotel room after a modeling job. Another model, Honey Grace Salas, said the suspect also tricked her into leaving her bag in her car, only to steal it.”
