Although Mocha Uson has said she will not be running for Senate, it looks as if she has started to take an interest in the law.
The dancer-turned-blogger-turned-assistant secretary of the Presidential Communications Operations Office shared yesterday that she will soon start studying law at a local university.
“Starting January, I will study law at Arellano University School of Law in order to widen my knowledge about laws,” Uson said in a tweet. Although it’s not clear whether she’ll be enrolling in a degree program or just taking classes.

This comes five days after House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez announced that Uson will be part of Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan’s (PDP-Laban) senatorial lineup for the 2019 mid-term elections.
Uson denied this and said in a Facebook post that she was shocked by Alvarez’s announcement. However, she also said that running for office is not out of the question. If she were to run, she said it will be because President Rodrigo Duterte asked her to do so.

Uson is a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas where she studied medical technology but become popular as part of the sexy dance group Mocha Girls. She came into prominence during the last election as a staunch supporter of Duterte.
At present, her Facebook page has more than 5 million followers. She has been criticized multiple times for sharing erroneous news through social media.
Most recently, she shared a Facebook post that misquoted Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s statement about Canada’s garbage issue in the Philippines.
During the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit in Manila, Trudeau said that it is now “theoretically possible” to bring back garbage dumped in the Philippines to Canda. But instead, Uson shared a graphic that says it is “impossible.”
Uson shared the post with the caption: “Meron tayong kilalang ganyan sa Pilipinas. Mahilig din sa photo op lalo na sa bata. Pekeng peke nga ‘yun (We know someone like that in the Philippines. Fond of photo ops especially with kids. That’s so fake).”
