Mob beats up suspected robber to death in cemetery

A man whose exploits earned him the label “notorious robbery-holdup artist” was killed when an angry mob turned on him for stabbing one of their own in Pasay City. Police said Jayson Encabo, nicknamed “Batman,” was pummeled to death when a crowd ganged up on him inside Sgt Mariano Public Cemetery. Encabo was running away from a heist he pulled off in a jeepney when a resident, identified as Martin Guial, blocked his path. The suspect stabbed Guial, witnessed by residents who started hurling huge rocks at Encabo, who fell on the ground as residents took turns in giving him a beating.
