Following the bloody Boston Marathon incident this week which left more than a hundred people injured, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that it will tighten security at marathons and fun runs all over the metropolis.
GMA News reported that the MMDA also be requiring security plans and traffic management plans from event organizers.
Additionally, a cash bond must be set up to fund the deployment of MMDA personnel during the event as well as for cleaning up trash after the event.
