“Chairman Francis Tolentino said the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is banning fitness and sports events, excavations and reblocking on national and city roads this month until January 6 next year,” reports Rio N. Araja in the Manila Standard Today.
In particular, fun runs, walkathon, marathon and bike races will be prohibited starting Dec 5. Diggings along national and city roads will be stopped beginning Dec 13.
According to the report, the Department of Public Works and Highways also agreed to put road reblocking on hold after Dec 6.
