MMDA revokes accreditation of 2 towing companies, suspends 4 for abuses

This must be music to motorists’ ears.

“The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) stripped two towing companies of their accreditation yesterday and suspended four others for illegal towing, as well as for abuses done to motorists,” reports Mike Frialde in The Philippine Star.

The report noted: “The accreditation of Mac and Paul Towing & Trucking Services and MCT Towing Services were revoked.”

Meanwhile, the following towing companies were also suspended:

1. JARZ Towing Services — 30 days for violating towing guidelines as well as threatening and coercing motorists

2. ARD Towing Services — 15 days for illegal towing, harassment, and threats

3. Metal Gear Towing Services — 10 days for illegal towing and imprudence

4. Fighter Towing Services — five days for illegal towing and imprudence
