Another bicycle lane was opened by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) along Roxas Boulevard in Manila on Mon, Feb 9.

“The newly opened bicycle lane on Roxas Boulevard’s sidewalk stretches from the service road northward from the Raja Sulayman Park to Burgos Avenue,” reports Mike Frialde on Philstar.com.

Meanwhile, GMA News Online reports that the MMDA is also starting a bike-sharing spot in the same area.

MMDA chairman Francis Tolentino added that they’ve likewise started the “Bayanihan sa Daan” road-sharing campaign to stress on the importance of road courtesy among pedestrians, bikers and motorist.

For the record the MMDA began its bike-sharing system in 2012.
