MMDA moves ‘monster’ EDSA reblocking to Wednesday

Do you think this would help ease traffic or will it make no difference?

“The repair and concrete reblocking of 94 sections on the whole stretch of Edsa will start at 2pm on Wednesday, April 16,” reports Niña P. Calleja in the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

The start of the “monster” reblocking project was previously set at 10pm on Tuesday, April 15.

The report said that “Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) made an adjustment in the work schedule upon the suggestion of provincial bus operators.” This is so, as the report put it, motorists get “16 hours of ‘elbow room’ for the thousands of motorists expected to leave the capital during the Holy Week break.”
