He won’t get any sympathy from commuters.
“MMDA chair Francis Tolentino got a taste of the bitter traffic in Metro Manila when he missed a live television appearance Thursday morning, September 10, after he was stuck on EDSA,” reports Inquirer.net.
Tolentino, who was was supposed to be a guest on ANC’s Headstart hosted by Karen Davila, failed to make it to the news talk show, which starts live at 8am and runs until 9am.
The report noted: “Davila only still managed to interview by telephone the MMDA chair, who was still on EDSA, inching his way from Muntinlupa City to ANC’s studios at the ABS-CBN Compound on Mother Ignacia Street, Barangay South Triangle, Quezon City.”
At 8:43am, Tolentino said he was already in front of Camp Aguinaldo, so Davila thought he’d still make it. At 8:53am, Tolentino was already at the ABS-CBN Compound. However, by the time he’d get to the studio, there would hardly be any time left. Davila just told Tolentino that she hoped he could make it “next time” and had to sign off.
