The battle of the sexes isn’t over yet.

“A advertisement released by the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Monday intended to promote its anti-smoking campaign in public places has been slammed by netizens for being sexist,” reports Aries Joseph Hegina on Inquirer.net.

The ad — which seems to have already been removed from the MMDA’s Facebook page — shows an irate woman preventing a man from smoking in a “No Smoking” area.

These words also appeared on the ad: “Be the stronger sex. Say you mind.”

The report noted: “Netizens were appalled by the ad’s implication of the existence of a dominant gender.”

Several netizens slammed the ad for implying that women were weak.

We tried looking for the ad on the MMDA Facebook page, but only found what looks like its “replacement.” Check out the “edited” version of the ad below. The ad is part of a series of MMDA anti-smoking ads.
