“Gruesome” doesn’t even begin to describe what happened to the child.
Over the weekend, police found the decapitated body of a nine-year-old boy in Hagonoy, Bulacan.
An ABS-CBNnews.com report explained that the boy had gone missing last Fri, May 29. He was last seen at his aunt’s house, where he had played and watched TV. He never made it back home. A witness later reported the location of the boy’s whereabouts.
Aside from being beheaded, the child also had a stab wound in his chest.
Based on a witness’ account, police later arrested a fisherman named Ernesto Santos, who was an acquiantance of the boy’s father. Santos said he had been drunk when he beheaded the boy for allegedly disrespecting him. Santos also led police to the location of the boys head, which he had wrapped in plastic and tossed near the river.
Santos surrendered the kitchen knife he had used in the crime.
