Did you see the “super blue blood moon” last night? You know, the rare astronomic event brought together a super moon, blue moon, and a total lunar eclipse? Well, thousands of people in the Philippines (and much more around the world) did and many shared their snaps of the reddish moon on social media — as you do.

As of posting time, #SuperBlueBloodMoon is still the number one trending topic in Philippine Twitter and the term “Super Moon” is at number nine.

So while those who missed it may need to wait 19 years to see a super blue blood moon, there’s more than enough photos online to tide them through ‘until then. Below, are just some of them.

Twitter user and photographer @leighmiserables spent three hours taking photos of the moon. Looks like it was all worth it, though, because she was able to edit together four photos of the moon in different phases.

Those in Albay in the Bicol region had a special treat because they had a view of the moon beside the erupting Mount Mayon. Photos posted by @kaicoconuts_ show the moon beside the smoking volcano.

“WHEN MAYON MEETS THE MOON!” she said. “Damn, this left me speechlessssss. Ang ganda ganda niyong dalawaaaa (you’re both so beautiful).”

GMA News reporter Raffy Tima was also able to capture the red moon as Mount Mayon was oozing lava.

@luisaescaaaaa viewed it from the Manila Observatory in Ateneo de Manila University, one of the observation stations that opened its doors and lent their telescopes to people who wanted to witness the occasion.

@BakaRapRapYan, who watched the moon from Pandacan, Manila tweeted his excitement. He used three exclamation points!

“I can’t believe that I saw it. It’s totally freaking awesome!!!” he said.

For @tonitiemsin, last night’s phenomenon allowed him to live out his childhood dream of becoming an astronomer.

Animator Jessica Martinez wasn’t satisfied with the photos she took so instead, she made this animated illustration.

You can see more photos when you search #SuperBlueBloodMoon + the city or location you want to see it from. So there you go, it’s just like you saw it last night. Kind of.
