This has been a good week for the Arroyos. Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo got rid of one of her plunder cases and now former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo has gotten clearance to travel.
“The Sandiganbayan’s Fourth and Fifth Divisions separately granted permission to Arroyo to travel from May 17 to June 10 to the the United Kingdom, Scotland, France, and Italy,” reports Jeff Damicog in Manila Bulletin.
The repot revealed that Arroyo “wanted to accompany his grandchildren–Monique, 9, and Michaela, 11–in participating a junior golf tournament that they have qualified for in Scotland.” The two kids are the daughters the Arroyos’ eldest son, Mikey.
The report noted: “The former First Gentleman is currently facing graft charges at the Fourth Division over the botched $329million national broadband network deal.”
