It’s going to be one hell of a stormy day. Classes have been suspended and the Palace has also announced that there will be no work in government offices today.
“In its 6am, Friday, September 19, advisory the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) raised the Red rainfall alert (torrential) over Metro Manila, Rizal, and Bulacan,” reports ABS-CBN News.
The report noted: “Under the Red rainfall alert experienced more than 30 millimeters of rain in the past hour and the downpour is expected to continue in the next two hours. Severe flooding is expected in low-lying areas.”
To get an idea of how bad it has gotten in some areas in Metro Manila, the photo accompanying this feed shows Mother Ignacia Street. Only the roof of the submerged cars are visible.
