Well, at least they can agree on something.
“Emerson Carlos, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Assistant General Manager for Operations, said the adoption of a uniform set of fines for violation was approved during the recent Metro Manila Council (MMC) meeting, which was attended by 17 local chief executives of the metropolis,” reports Anna Liza Villas in Manila Bulletin.
That means the Metro Manila’s 16 cities and one municipality “will enact ordinances that would supersede their existing fines and penalties for traffic violations.”
Carlos pointed out that “because fines and penalties are standardized, local traffic bureau heads and even the motorists will not be confused.”
We’ll see about that.
