An earthquake with its epicenter off Polillo Island in Quezon Province was felt in Quezon City, Makati, Taguig, and Muntinlupa on Tuesday night.
The quake, which the Philippine Institute for Volcanology and Seismology said had a magnitude of 4.4, triggered not so much panic as smart quips on social media about people not sensing the earthquake because they had no feelings.
Celebrity host and style editor Raymond Gutierrez had this to say: “I wish I instagrammed that earthquake moment. Ugh.”
Which, aside from being impossible, is an indicator of how worried people in Metro Manila were not.
Phivolcs said the quake was felt at Intensity III in Quezon City and Intensity III in Makati, Taguig, and Muntinlupa.
