Meralco lineman shot while removing illegal connections

He was just doing his job.

“On Friday morning, May 23, Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) contractual lineman Jovelyn Salazar Jamile was removing illegal power connections at a post at the corner of 13th and Roberto Oca Streets in Port Area, Manila when he was shot by an unidentified gunman,” reports dzMM correspondent Noel Alamar on ABS-CBNnews.com.

Jamile fell off the post after getting hit on his arm. He was brought to Manila Doctors Hospital for treatment.

Police failed to locate the gunman.
