In other words, some Metro Manila residents will take turns in experiencing the agony of being literally powerless.
“The Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) is implementing three-hour rotating brownouts in Metro Manila on Thursday, July 17 due to transmission problems after the onslaught of Typhoon Glenda,” reports Louis Bacani on Philstar.com.
Meralco said affected areas are portions of Manila, Makati, Quezon City, Bulacan and Pasay.
Meralco said power will be fully restored in Metro Manila by 10 pm on Friday, July 18.
