Is anyone still surprised by these announcements?
“The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) will increase its August billing by 31 centavos per kilowatt hour,” reports Manila Bulletin.
The report explained: “The 31 centavos hike is comprised mainly of a generation charge of 23 centavos, taxes worth 6 centavos and other increases estimated at 3 centavos.”
Never mind the Meralco math which we can barely comprehend. It just all adds up to consumers paying more.
