Wearing women’s clothes and shoes don’t really give you the whole story of what it’s like to be female, but this effort is still appreciated.

“To mark National Women’s Month in Binalonan, Pangasinan, town Mayor Ramon Guico III led male officials in dressing up as women,” reports GMA News Online.

The report noted: “The men wore dusters, high heels and wigs and struck poses on the red carpet in an event celebrating the Women’s Month theme: ‘Juana, Desisyon Mo ay Mahalaga sa Kapakanan ng Bawa’t Isa. Ikaw Na!'”

Guico said, “Ang taas ng heels na ito, nahiya ako nang una. But maganda naman overall because we’re sending a message to everybody that we respect women.”

He added that there is “no other way to feel what they do, their roles, than putting yourselves in their shoes. Kaya ito ang ginawa namin.”
