Mark Roach: Pacquiao to KO Rios in Nov

Freddie Roach’s bad blood with Brandon Rios hasn’t been forgotten, and the Hall of Fame trainer wants his struggling ward Manny Pacquiao to knock the lights off the Mexican.

Roach wants Pacquiao to “do me a big favor” by sending Rios to the canvas on Nov. 24 when the fighting congressman faces the Mexican in Macau.

Roach, who spoke with journalists in General Santos City where Pacquiao was training, made no secret his disdain for Rios, who on video mocked the trainer with slurred speech and mannerisms. Roach is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

The hall of fame trainer says Pacquiao’s hunger for winning has returned after two consecutive setbacks that put questions on whether the Filipino’s heart was still into boxing. Pacquiao was knocked out by Mexican nemesis Juan Manuel Marquez in December last year, then losing in a controversial split decision to Timothy Bradley in June this year.
