“Amalia Gonzaga de Guzman, 46, wife of Marikina Mayor Del De Guzman, died at the Medical City at 4:10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan 1,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com. She and the mayor have four children. Her remains currently lie at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City.
According to Paul Edward Sison, Marikina City’s Public Information Officer, the mayor had mentioned in the past that his wife has a lymphoma.
