Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mar Roxas says he’s prepared for whatever he must do in 2016.
This after President Noynoy Aquino told reporters on Mon, May 25, that Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mar Roxas was still his No. 1 pick as his successor in the Palace.
Aquino made it clear that Roxas was still the Liberal Party (LP) standard bearer. He praised Roxas for his dedication and “range of expertise.”

Asked for his reaction to Aquino’s glowing review, an ANC report quoted Roxas as saying, “Handa akong harapin at tanggapin ang tungkulin na ipagpatuloy ang mga magagandang nasimulan na nating lahat. Maganda na ang kinalalagyan natin ngayon. Hindi naman ito perfect pero malaki na ang na-advance natin.”
Translation: “I am ready to face and continue all the great programs that we have all started. We are in a great position. It’s not perfect but we have made significant improvements.”
