Remember that photo of Pacquiao enjoying a simple meal in a cramped room? There’s more where that came from.

Manny Pacquiao wanted his kids to experience first-hand what he went through growing up in General Santos, so he and his wife Jinkee have pulled out all their four kids from an international school and enrolled them instead in Hope Christian School, a private school in General Santos City.

Jinkee, Sarangani’s Vice Governor told the Philippine Daily Inquirer, that the kids are all doing fine, enjoying their life in General Santos, and have now even made new friends.

“Pacquiao said he also wanted a simple life and would grab every opportunity to experience it,” writes Aquiles Z. Zonio in PDI.

The decision allowed the family to become better at this simple life thing. These days, unlike before, the family is always together. “It’s a must that we are always there to supervise our children. We need this to strengthen our relationships and to provide them guidance and support, especially when they need it,” she was quoted as saying.

Jinkee has decided she will not run for office when term as Vice Gov ends in 2016. Instead, she will put her focus on her family and her business. “Having one member of the family involved in politics is already enough,” she mentions.

According to the report, the Pacman chooses to stay in a small hut whenever he’s in GenSan. He says he hates the Metro Manila traffic.

So what do they do when they’re all together? According to Princess, the family prays a lot. As in three to four times a day a lot.

Looks like they can totally do not living in the city!
