Manila woman stabs self twice during argument with partner, survives

Earlier this week, a 34-year-old woman in Sta. Cruz, Manila stabbed herself twice (perhaps, out of exasperation?) in the middle of an argument with her live-in partner.

“Chief Insp. Michael Garcia, deputy station commander of Manila Police District-Station 3, said the incident took place at 2:30 am at the couple’s apartment,” reports Itchie Cabayan on Journal Online.

The report noted: “The woman’s partner, a tricycle driver, was shocked when he saw her take a knife and stab herself once in the chest. He rushed to stop her. However, during the scuffle for possession of the knife, the victim again stabbed herself, albeit, accidentally.”

Thankfully, the woman’s partner rushed her to the hospital for treatment. She managed to survive her self-inflicted wounds.
