Manila wants to be like Australia…when it comes to trucks

If Quezon City wants to transform into Singapore, then Manila (in a way) wants to become Australia.

“In an interview on ANC’s Headstart, Manila Vice mayor and city traffic czar Isko Moreno said city officials are set to fly to Australia to study the country’s policy on truck deployment,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

According to Moreno, “Australia enforces a policy wherein a truck without a pass cannot use the road.”

Moreno believes that the “effective scheduling of truck deployment ensures that no road and port congestion will occur.”
