Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso announced that the City of Manila will start offering vaccines 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The round-the-clock schedule will take effect in the coming weeks.
Mayor Isko made the announcement at the groundbreaking ceremonies for the new Dr. Alejandro Albert Elementary School in Sampaloc, Manila yesterday, August 2.
The mayor confirmed the news via a tweet, in which he also called for healthcare personnel to volunteer for the drive. The tweet says, in Filipino, “[T]he City of Manila is looking for healthcare workers who wish to volunteer for the planned 24/7 vaccination drive. The Manila City Health Office and the Office of the Mayor are looking for the following: doctors, nurses, dentists, midwives, medical technologists, pharmacists, and other professionals in allied health programs. We are also looking for computer-literate college graduates or college students to serve as encoders for the City Health Office of Manila.”
