“On Monday, May 12, Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada on Monday said the city government will be suspending the implementation of the expanded truck ban for eight days,” reports dzMM correspondent Noel Alamar on ABS-CBNnews.com.
Estrada revealed that Secretary to the Cabinet Jose Rene Almendras and Public Works Secretary Rogelio Singson requested the moratorium on the truck ban.
The report noted: “Under the city’s expanded truck ban, eight-wheel trucks with a gross weight of above 4,500 kilograms will only be allowed on city streets from 9pm to 5am everyday except on Saturdays and Sundays, with a window period of seven hours, from 10am to 5pm.”
