Manila suspends towing firm due to flood of complaints

A towing company is in trouble.

“Due to numerous complaints from motorists, the Manila City government has ordered the indefinite suspension of two of the tow trucks of RWM Towing Services Inc. and four of its personnel,” reports Nathaniel R. Melican in Philippine Daily Inquirer.

The report explained that “the suspension was slapped on the towing company after an investigation confirmed the veracity of the complaints—mostly posted on social media websites—forwarded to Vice Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso’s office.”

People claimed that “employees of the towing company had been found to have towed vehicles without properly informing their owners first.”

The report noted: “Charges will not be filed against RWM, however, as the indefinite suspension will effectively prevent them from operating again.”

Further investigation is expected to be conducted.
