The Manila Police District will be reviving its bicycle patrol with 25 bicycles already distributed to the district’s police stations.
According to a Pilipino Star Ngayon report, the bicycles were donated by non-government organizations and will be used by regular and tourist police to increase police visibility in the capital.
Manila Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada and MPD director Chief Superintendent Isagani Genabe received the donated bicycles. Estrada, in his first speech as city mayor, promised to restore MPD’s reputation as Manila’s Finest.
