Who’s telling the truth?

“Korean tourist Him Chan Kim suffered injuries after a cross-dressing male guest relations officer (GRO) named Limbert Ayuda, 20, attacked him with a broken ashtray and punched him while they were in a motel along Mabini Street,” reports Rey Galupo in The Philippine Star.

Him went to a bar in Ermita and picked up Ayuda at around 11pm on Sun, Jul 19. Police said the Korean even paid a bar fine for a date with Ayuda, whom he thought was a woman.

Him and Ayuda went to Sohotel along San Andres Street and occupied Room 303. However, Him got enraged when he discovered that Ayuda is a man.

Him claims that at the height of their argument, Ayuda grabbed an ashtray and attacked him.

The Korean then ran out of the room and sought help from the motel’s security guards, who arrested and turned over Ayuda to the police.

At the Manila Police District detention center, Ayuda had a different story. He said in Filipino: “I went out with him because we agreed that we would only sleep. I talked to him calmly when he discovered that I’m not a woman but he tried to choke me so I was forced to fight back.”
