Former president and current Manila mayor Joseph “Erap” Estrada has been confined at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan City due to pneumonia.
According to his son, Senator JV Ejecito, the mayor was admitted to the hospital on Wed, Dec 21, as he had experienced difficulty in breathing.
“Ejercito said doctors detected an infection in Estrada’s lungs. He said the mayor is already recuperating after receiving treatment. However, as of 9am on Fri, Dec 23, he had yet to be discharged from the hospital,” reports ABS-CBN News.
