Commuting in Manila can be tough but that doesn’t mean one can’t have fun while stuck in traffic. On Friday, Facebook user Mar Fernandez posted about jeepney she rode the offered free WiFi and extra features like a karaoke machine.
“Last night: When you’re tired from work and you ride a jeep like this going home. Cool!” Fernandez said.

She then gave a run down of the jeepney’s special features like a CCTV camera that helps the driver see passengers who leave without paying, buzzers passengers can press instead of yelling when they want to get off their stop, and a karaoke machine passengers are free to use en route.
Fernandez said that passengers who sing using the karaoke are given free rides.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, the jeepney’s driver, Rudy Avila, said his decision to upgrade the vehicle was borne out of his need to entertain passengers annoyed by the bad traffic.
“When I would travel, the traffic was very bad, even my passengers would get very angry because of the traffic,” he said. “At first, I tried installing a karaoke machine, my passengers were entertained, they sang. They said that all jeepneys should be like this. Many were amused.”
Avila’s jeep runs from 6pm — 12mn on the Baclaran-Sucat route.
Fernandez’s Facebook post now has more than 37,000 shares, 28,000 reactions, and more than 170 comments.
